Social Marketing Intern



Our art and technology company is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our team on a freelance basis. The ideal applicant will love art and possess a strong knowledge of the digital media landscape. They will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. The successful candidate will be contributing to website updates, monitoring and posting on blogs and social networks, engaging in online forums, participating in online outreach and promotion, and maybe conducting keyword analysis. Social Media Community Development and Maintenance

  1. Assist with maintaining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities.

  2. Increase the number of followers on Twitter, Instagram, etc., by following and engaging with potential venues and artists.

  3. Monitoring and replying to Tweets and other messages from venues and artists (initially under supervision from a Creative or Marketing Director)

  4. Posting Tweets and updates on a daily basis (both artwork- and art-world-related); learning about and presenting to the team new social media tools

  5. Build social media ‘likes’ by approaching potential clients and artists through other social media channels and email marketing campaigns.

  6. Work with directors to implement other channel-specific campaigns (e.g. posting original content, and reposting video-art-related content to Ephemereye social, etc.)



  1. Love of art

  2. Excellent verbal communications skills.  

  3. Art, Media, English, Literature, History, Liberal Arts interests.

  4. Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy

  5. Interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management;

  6. Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and with Microsoft Office products, Adobe CC is a plus

  7. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resilient towards challenges

  8. Ability to prioritise work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times

  9. Ability to work collaboratively with a team
