Lemma, 2013. Magdalena Papanikolopoulou The video camera became a partner in the performances of several influential artists drawn to electronic media, recording intimate, often ritualized actions. Influenced by the interplay of performance and sculpture in Nauman’s work who also based his work on the Viennese philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951), I created three video pieces named Academia, Lemma and Hearth.
